Two months of closures for major city route

A busy route in Nottingham will see a series of closures for works, which begin on Monday.
Highways engineers have determined the A610 Nuthall Road, from Whitemoor to Cinderhill, is in need of work including resurfacing.
Road closures will take place in phases along the stretch, from 09:30 to 17:00 BST on weekdays, and 08:00 and 17:00 at the weekend.
Nottingham City Council said the first phase would see the road shut southbound - between Bar Lane and Western Boulevard - until 24 July.
Closures then move to the southbound side of the Bar Lane/Melbourne Road junction on 26 and 27 July, between Llanberis Grove and Bar Lane southbound, then northbound from 25 July to 5 August.
Work then shifts to the northbound side of the Bar Lane/Melbourne Road junction on 9 and 10 August, and then the northbound stretch from Western Boulevard and Bar Lane until 20 August.
Diversions will be in place during the closures.
A lane will also be shut on Western Boulevard, near Newlyn Drive, from 15 to 26 August.
As well as resurfacing, improvement works will include replacing and relaying kerbs, repaving side roads, cracked pavements and parking bays, installing new signs, posts and bins, and working on tree pits.
