A Hull City fan has been banned from football matches for three years after he hurled sexually offensive language at a female member of stadium staff.

Dallas Woods, 31, of Windsor Drive, Goole, admitted to one charge of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

The offence took place at Leeds United's Elland Road stadium on 1 April 2024, West Yorkshire Police said.

Woods was also given a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 9 January.

The football banning order means he cannot attend any professional football fixtures in the UK for three years.

Ch Supt Jonathan Arrowsuch said: "Woods subjected his victim to what was a distressing and frightening experience and was swiftly arrested by officers at the ground after she was able to identify him.

"People who engage in such behaviour have no place in football grounds in West Yorkshire or anywhere else in the country."
