A Nottingham library is set to close for a day for work to replace a large window.

The damage to the second floor window of Nottingham Central Library was found on 16 August 2024 and work to make it safe was carried out the following day.

A spokesperson for Nottingham City Council said traffic restrictions would be in place on Carrington Street while the work takes place on Monday.

The total cost of replacing the window, including labour costs and permits for traffic management on the day, will be £17,096.

The council spokesperson said: "We're sorry for the inconvenience caused but the closure and traffic restrictions are needed to enable the work to be carried out quickly and safely."

The £10m three-storey library, which features a cafe and conference rooms, opened in November 2023.
