Man hit by car after being chased onto busy road

A man suffered head injuries when he was hit by a car while being chased, on foot, by another man.

West Mercia Police is investigating after being called to Edgar Street in Hereford on Christmas Eve at about 16:00 GMT.

Officers said the driver of the car stopped to assist police officers and no action was being taken against him.

But the force is seeking to identify the person who was chasing the victim, a statement added.

The victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers have asked anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them.
