Motorbike rider seriously injured in crash

A motorbike rider sustained serious, life-changing injuries in a crash in Plymouth on Friday, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash, which happened on Cumberland Road in Devonport at about 12:30 GMT, led to the road being closed for several hours.

It involved a white and blue motorbike and a black Ford Mondeo, police added.

Officers said the driver of the Ford Mondeo was assisting police with inquiries.

They have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
