A fresh appeal to try to find out how a woman broke her spine in a hit-and-run has been issued by police.

The woman, in her 60s, was hit by a vehicle, believed to have been a white Citroen Berlingo van, on Crossfield Road in Stechford, Birmingham.

She was taken to hospital with spinal fractures and is recovering at home following the crash near the junction of Kitts Green Road, at about 07:45 GMT on 15 January.

West Midlands Police said it was appealing for information and dashcam footage as officers continued their inquiries.
