The 31 and 32 bus routes will serve the new Beau Sejour stop

A bus stop will be added directly outside one of Guernsey's main leisure centres, the States said.

The new stop, outside Beau Sejour, will begin operating in February and will be served by routes 31 and 31 - operating an hourly service between the Town Terminus in St Peter Port and stops near Portinfer.

Buses currently pick up and drop off from the main road, meaning people need to walk about 350m (383yds).

The States said work would take place from 3 February to provide a turning space for buses, affecting pick ups and drop offs at the leisure centre for one week, although disabled parking bays would still be operating.

Beau Sejour is run by the States and also acts as a theatre, cinema and cultural hub.
