Teen murder accused in court over stabbing on bus
A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was stabbed on a London bus.
Kelyan Bokassa was pronounced dead shortly after being attacked in Woolwich on 7 January.
The 16-year-old boy from Plumstead appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court, while a 15-year-old boy from Woolwich who is also charged with murder is due in court later.
The 16-year-old wore a prison-issue grey jogging suit and spoke only to confirm his name, age and address. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again next week.
Police were called at about 14:30 GMT to reports of a stabbing on the Route 472 bus on Woolwich Church Street.
Kelyan's family are being supported by specialist officers, the Met Police has said.
A 44-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.
