Family tribute to injured man who died in street
A family has paid tribute to a "charismatic" man following his "unexpected and sudden passing" in a town centre, which has sparked a murder investigation.
Darren Moss, 59, was found injured by police close to shops on The Rows, Harlow, at about 21:15 GMT on 18 December, but he died at the scene.
"Darren was a charismatic person who had the ability to find humour in everyday life. He made people laugh," a tribute released through Essex Police said.
Three men - aged 43, 44 and 61 – who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed until 10 March.
The family's statement continued: "There are no words that can convey the immense loss we all feel at Darren's unexpected and sudden passing.
"Although it is difficult today to see beyond the grief we all feel, we will take comfort in the smiles and giggles he gave to us.
"Rest in peace dearest Darren. We all love you."
Det Insp Stewart Eastbrook said: "Our thoughts remain with Darren's family at this challenging time for all involved."
He said police investigations were ongoing, adding: "We would ask for patience and discourage people from speculating while this work goes on."
The force has appealed for anyone who can help the inquiry to get in touch.
