Emergency services descended on the B&M supermarket car park following reports of a collision

A woman suffered serious injuries following a collision at a supermarket car park on the outskirts of Ipswich.

Suffolk Police officers and paramedics were called to B&M, just off Felixstowe Road, at 11:50 GMT.

The emergency services had received reports of a collision involving a car, a pedestrian and two other vehicles in the car park.

One woman was transported to hospital by ambulance crews before the police's roads and armed policing team launched an appeal for eyewitnesses.

Anyone with information should call the police on 101 and quote reference number CAD 98 of 2 January.
