Teenager seriously hurt in woodland fire

A 19-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after he was badly injured in a woodland fire.

Emergency crews were called to an incident off Warren Drive in Sedgley just after 17:45 BST on Monday.

Paramedics found the man had suffered serious injuries in the fire, and he was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Police and firefighters were also sent to the scene and assisted the multiple paramedic teams.
