Armed police were called to a property in Galston on Saturday after a 55-year-old man was found injured.

Officers received a report of 55-year-old man having been injured at a property in Galston in East Ayrshire.

Police said the 72-year old was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident, which happened on the A71 at Galston.
