Storm Isha forecast to bring 80mph winds to Devon and Cornwall
Yellow and amber weather warnings have been issued for Devon and Cornwall as Storm Isha is forecast to bring strong winds and rain.
The amber alert warns of winds gusting to 80mph from 18:00 GMT on Sunday until 09:00 on Monday morning throughout Cornwall and the north coast of Devon.
A yellow alert for wind for the rest of Devon warns of 70mph gusts from 12:00 on Sunday until 12:00 on Monday.
The south west is forecast 20-30mm of rain on Sunday and 30-50mm on Tuesday.
Devon County Council said road, rail, air and ferry services may be impacted during the storm.
Councillor Stuart Hughes said: "There will be a possibility of surface water flooding and debris on the roads so please drive according to conditions and be aware that you may come across unexpected hazards."
The Met Office, which issued the weather warnings, said there was a good chance that power cuts would take place and it warned that some buildings may be damaged.
Devon County Council is advising drivers to watch out for fallen trees and branches and not to drive through floodwater or swollen, flowing water.
