Newent baby death: Pair charged with manslaughter

A mother and a man have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a four-month-old baby.

The child was admitted to hospital on 12 April, 2020 and died six days later.

Jack Wheeler, 30, from Ledbury in Herefordshire and Melissa Wilband, 27, from Newent in the Forest of Dean, have been charged with manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child.

The pair will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Friday.
