RAF Honington in Bury St Edmunds will conduct aircraft night-time training
The Royal Air Force (RAF) is due to use a Suffolk airfield for flying and ground training over the coming week.
The A400M Atlas tactical transport aircraft will be using RAF Honington in Bury St Edmunds to conduct night-time flying training from 30 October.
A statement from the airfield said the activities would "enable ground training for the crew and mobility teams being carried".
Flying activity will take place between 17:00 and 22:00 GMT.
The aircraft is due to land at the airbase on several occasions until 2 November.
According to Airbus, the creator of the A400M Atlas, it is the "most advance" airlifter available, using "state-of-the-art technologies to fulfil the current and upcoming armed forces' needs".
The airfield said: "This further use of RAF Honington reflects the significance of the airfield in delivering high-value training to both aircrew and groundcrew for operations across the globe under the concept of agile combat employment".
