Two dead after 'apocalyptic' winds rip through Bay Area

California's Bay Area saw cyclonic winds that took out trees, destroyed bridges and blew out windows. San Francisco Airport reported a peak wind gust of 64mph (102km/h) with an even more remarkable 76 mph (122km/h) in Santa Cruz mountain communities.

Two people have died and three others were critically injured by fallen trees.
