Why the Japanese believe that crying is good for you
In Japan 'rui-katsu', which means 'tear seeking', is a service that provides support and a safe space for people to weep. It helps those who struggle to express emotion often due to cultural stigmas.
Hidefumi Yoshida is a tear teacher and assists clients throughout the process. With the use of sad films and emotional letters, he claims to have brought over 50,000 people to tears.
