Rouge Bouillon road in St Helier is due to reopen in May following months of repair works after a sinkhole appeared.
A burst water main created a sinkhole beneath the road in December 2024 and the road was closed between Clarendon Road and Palmyra Road.
Jersey's Infrastructure and Environment Department said work to add steel strapping to a nearby building had been completed, and the next step was to demolish outbuildings and boundary walls.
It said the road was expected to reopen on 2 May, with lane closures, but added that the date could change as work continued.
