Teens admit violence after boy, 15, stabbed

Three teenagers have pleaded guilty to charges relating to the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy that left him with life-threatening injuries.

The boy was attacked in the Northfield area of Birmingham in the early hours of 18 November last year and taken to hospital.

At a Birmingham Crown Court hearing on 20 May, one 16-year-old boy admitted wounding with intent and possession of a blade.

Another boy, also 16, and a 17-year-old both admitted charges of violent disorder and possession of a bladed article.

The stabbing happened at the junction of Frankley Beeches Road and the A38 Bristol Road South.

Det Insp Ade George from West Midlands Police said it was a "very serious attack, and the boy suffered serious injuries, but thankfully survived".

The three will be sentenced at a later date.
