An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a stabbing incident in south Belfast on Saturday evening.

The incident happened at about 19:35 GMT at the corner of Agincourt Avenue and Ormeau Road

A man, in his 50s, was stabbed in the shoulder and taken to hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The teenager, who remains in custody, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
