Alderney dog owners reminded to renew licences

Dog owners in Alderney are being reminded to renew their licences.

All dogs over the age of six months must be registered with the States of Alderney.

The States said it issued licences for 320 dogs in 2024, which must be applied for in person at the General Office and renewed annually at the start of January.

It said the cost of a licence was £10 and dog owners would receive a numbered disc after a licence was granted.

All dogs must wear a collar with the disc on at all times, the States said.
