Police investigating church burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at a church.

Officers were called to St John the Baptist Church in Kingscote, Tetbury, following a report of a break-in which took place between 19:00 on Thursday and 09:00 BST on Friday.

Ecclesiastical silverware and a safe were stolen, police said.

It is believed the offenders smashed a window to gain entry.

Anybody who has any information, dashcam or doorbell footage is asked to contact police.
