A 28-year-old-man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in custody

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three people were stabbed near Storrington, Sussex Police has said.

Emergency services attended the scene in Pulborough Road, Cootham at about 19:25 GMT on Thursday, following reports that two men aged 30 and 28 and a 54-year-old woman had been injured.

The 30-year-old-man and 54-year-old woman were assessed at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital, where the man remains with serious injuries.

After undertaking a search of the area, officers located the third injured person, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 28-year-old-man from Cootham was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody, the force said.
