Man who died at industrial site 'sorely missed'

The family of a man who was killed at an industrial premises on Tuesday have paid tribute to him.

Robert Storey, 51, died after getting trapped under a piece of steel at a premises on Pedmore Road, Brierley Hill, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Storey's family have paid tribute to Mr Storey, who they described as a "loving partner, son, father, uncle and grandfather".

"Tragically taken too soon, Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him," they said.

"His wit, humour and devotion to family will never be forgotten".

Mr Storey was in a critical condition when ambulance crews arrived on Tuesday and was given life support, but died at the scene.

West Midlands Police said they were continuing to work with the Health and Safety Executive to investigate the circumstances around his death.
