Man dies after getting trapped under steel

A man has died after being trapped under a piece of steel at an industrial premises.

The incident happened in Pedmore Road, Brierley Hill, in the West Midlands at 09:53 BST on Tuesday.

The man, who was in his 50s, was in a critical condition when they arrived and was given life support but died at the scene, a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

West Midlands Police said enquiries to establish what happened were ongoing and the force was liaising with the Health and Safety Executive
