Man seriously injured after bus stop assault

A man has serious injuries after he was assaulted at a bus stop in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall Police has said.

Officers were called at about 08:45 GMT on Monday after reports of a man being seriously assaulted on Mutley Plain.

A scene guard was put in place and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 17-year-old boy from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The force said it believed there was no wider threat and it was thought both parties were known to each other.
