A former Lincolnshire Police worker has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.

Zoe Watts, 38, who worked as a police community support officer for more than eight years, was arrested by armed officers at her home in Lincoln on 11 December.

She is charged with possessing a firearm when prohibited for five years, possession of a firearm without a certificate and manufacturing a firearm.

Ms Watts, of St Helen's Avenue, Lincoln, appeared before the city's crown court on Monday.

Her lawyer asked for the charges not to be put to the defendant until further tests had been carried out on the item that was seized by the police.

Judge Simon Hirst agreed to the request and remanded Ms Watts back into custody.

She will appear before the court again on 13 February.
