An Ofsted inspection "contributed" to the death of head teacher Ruth Perry, an inquest has ruled.

The inspection at Caversham Primary School in Reading "lacked fairness, respect and sensitivity", senior coroner Heidi Connor said.

Mrs Perry, 53, took her own life in January while waiting for the report to be published.

Andrew Peach's breakfast show has been a feature on the station's airwaves since 2005.

He said he was "touched and humbled that so many people got in touch to say goodbye".

Specialist bleed control kits designed to save stabbing victims have been placed in businesses throughout a town.

The packs in seven locations in Slough contain dressings, scissors, gloves, tourniquets and a chest wound sealant.

The kits are designed to prevent catastrophic blood loss from an injury while waiting for an ambulance.

Large sites earmarked in town for new homes

Several large sites, including office buildings and a hotel, could be converted to provide thousands of new homes in Reading.

Reading Borough Council issued a call for sites to be suggested earlier in the year, as part of its Local Plan update.

A number of the sites have been considered by the council as acceptable places for new homes.

Drone came 'very close' to BA plane, report says

A plane carrying up to 242 passengers came "very close" to colliding with a drone, its pilot has said.

The British Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner was flying over Windsor, Berkshire, after departing from Heathrow Airport on 25 July.

At about 20:00 BST, when the aircraft was climbing at 3,000ft, the pilot saw the drone about 65ft (20m) away.
