Watch: My husband went to work and didn't come home
The widow of a man killed in an explosion at a Perth recycling site has spoken about the day she lost her husband almost two years ago, as the facility has faced another fire.
Magda Szmeichel told BBC Scotland News that the evening of 28th February 2023 was "ordinary" - she was dropping her son at an after-school activity, while her husband, Slawomir, was getting ready for work.
"We said 'bye bye' to each other, 'love you'... and he just didn't come back."
Mrs Szmeichel is backing calls for a fire safety review at the the former Shore recycling centre following a fourth blaze in four years.
"The worst day for us has [already] happened," she said.
"I don't want any other family to be in our position."
