Young MC continuing North East's musical legacy

A 12-year-old MC is one of the newest faces on a scene that has been part of North East culture since the 1990s.

Musicians on the region's council estates crafted a blend of super-fast vocals and Spanish techno widely known as Makina music.

AJ, known as MC SP80 JR, is making a name for himself as a young Makina musician.

He's performed live with veteran MCs and videos of him performing with his dad MC Speighty, aka Anthony, have gone viral.
