Watch: Our choir can make a singer out of anybody

"So many people get told they can't sing - but it's just that they've never been shown how to."

A barbershop choir in the Scottish borders is celebrating its 21st birthday by offering free singing lessons - and it says it can make a singer out of anybody.

Nick Drew has been musical director of the One Acchord Ladies Chorus for 18 years and believes barber-shop is the perfect place to start a musical journey.

"Many people have never realised that it wasn't that they couldn't sing - but that they were in the wrong key," he said.

"The great thing about barber-shop is that it has a range for everyone."
