Watch: The brutal 268-mile race that only half of runners finish
Close to half of the competitors in this year's Spine Race - a gruelling ultramarathon from Derbyshire to the Scottish Borders - have dropped out midway.
It's a story Kim Collinson knows well. He failed in his last three attempts to cross the finishing line of the 268-mile race.
But this year, he has won the competition in a time of 82 hours and 46 minutes.
Kim and his fellow racers faced chest-high snow drifts and freezing conditions in what is thought to be one of the toughest years in the event's history.
Since its inception in 2012, the race has become known as one of the toughest endurance challenges in the world.
