Residents told to check bins after teen stab death
Police have asked villagers to check their bins for evidence after a 19-year-old man died following a stabbing.
The victim, who was found injured in Station Road, Netley, shortly before 18:30 GMT on Wednesday, died at the scene, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police said.
Three 18-year-old men from the Southampton area have been arrested on suspicion of murder, with one of the teens also being held on suspicion of acquiring, using or possessing stolen property.
Officers said they were keen to locate a mobile phone which may have been dumped nearby.
A 36-year-old woman from Southampton had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but no further action had been taken for that offence, the force said.
The woman was also arrested for possession with intent to supply a class B drug and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. She has been released on bail.
A police cordon was in place in Station Road, near the entrance to the recreational ground, after the man was found.
Police have appealed for anyone with information, or those with dashcam, doorbell camera, mobile phone, or any other CCTV footage to come forward.
